Ethnologist, B.A., senior curator of the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade

Born in Belgrade on October 7, 1957

Speciality: traditional costume
Other interests: history of the Church, aesthetics, protection of natural and cultural heritage, museology.

Since 1987 works as curator in the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade.

The autor of about 20 papers on traditional costumes of the peoples living in the Balkans, author and joint author of several exhibitions on traditional costume and fashion, associate in several education TV programmes, as well as in TV programmes for children.

Member of theEthnological Society of Serbia and the National Committee of ICOM - Committee for costume.

 

Branko V. Jokić

Historian, B.A., lecturer in history, Director of the Museum in Priština (displaced)

Born in Peć on December 8, 1947

Speciality: history, lecturer in history and sociology

Career:
1973-1974 teacher of history and sociology in the Grammar school “Đorđe Lopičić” in Cetinje, Montenegro
1979-1997 history teacher in the Educational Centre (secondary school) in Maribor, Slovenia
1997-1998 deputy director of the publishing house Panorama in Priština
since 1998 director of the Museum in Priština

Participated in more than fifteen domestic and international seminaries and conferences on education of the youth and development of the system of education.

 

Milka Čanak-Medić, PhD

Architect, consultant in the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the Republic of Serbia and retired Professor of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade

Born in Zrenjanim in 1929.

Speciality: late antique and mediaeval architecture in the territory of ex-Yugoslavia

Education:
1952 graduated at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade
1956-1958 post-graduate studies at
Ecole des Beax Arts in Paris
1976 took the degree of PhD at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade

Career:
1952-1979 consultant in the Federal Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments
1979-1992 consultant in the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the Republic of Serbia and Professor of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade

She conducted and participated in numerous projects of conservation and restoration of the monuments of late antique and mediaeval architecture.

 

Ljubodrag Dimić, PhD

Historian, Professor at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade

Born in Zemun on February 20, 1956.

Speciality: history of Yugoslavia and the Balkans, relationship between politics and culture, social history

Education:
1980 graduated at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade
1985 took M.A. degree (M.A. thesis: Agitprop Stage of the Cultural Policy in Serbia 1945-1952)
1993 took PhD degree at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade (doctoral thesis: Cultural Policy in the Kinggdom of Yugoslavia 1929-1941)

Career:
1981-1985 research fellow in the Institute for the History of the Labour Movement of Serbia (present Institute for the Recent History of Serbia)
1985-1993 teaching assistant at the Department for the History of Yugoslavia at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade
1993-1998 associate professor at the Department for the History of Yugoslavia
since 2002 Professor

Member of the Board for the 20th century history of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences
Member of the editorial boards of several history journals. Participated in numerous conferences in the country and abroad.
Author and joint author of several books and more than 70 papers.

 
Zoran Đorđević

Art historian, B.A., Director of the Cultural Centre “Sveti Sava“ - Istok (displaced), presently with the office in Leposavić.

Born in Istok in 1949.

Graduated at the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.
Worked as teacher in the secondary school in Istok.

Editor-in-chief of the journal Hvosno.
